Ethnic wedding costumes

The project is a series of paper sculptures of brides in various ethnic wedding gear. The artist lays emphasis in specific characteristics of wedding dresses in different countries. Each sculpture expresses the variety and richness of wedding gear and how embodies the most specific characteristics of each national costume. Ethnic wedding dresses are nowadays the dying out tradition. They are preserved mostly in photos, descriptions of ethnologists and fashion historians. So the particular idea of this series is to create the so to call “Red book of fashion”.
